UX Designer · Developer · HCI Researcher
Where research meets code meets real humans.
HCI student at IU Indianapolis's Luddy School — bridging the gap between user research and technical execution. I design with empathy and build with precision.
About Me
I'm a Human-Computer Interaction student at Indiana University Indianapolis with a background that spans UX design, frontend development, and — uniquely — clinical dental practice. That last one matters more than it sounds.
"I've worked in high-stakes, precision environments where details save outcomes. I bring that same rigor to how I test, design, and build digital experiences."
Currently on a dual B.S./M.S. track in Informatics at Luddy, with active freelance UX consulting through Flycatcher Consulting. I don't just make things pretty — I make sure they actually work for the people using them.
Why Me
Most UX designers can't code. Most developers don't research. I do both — and I came up through environments where precision wasn't optional.
I can run a usability study in the morning and push a React component in the afternoon. Bridging that gap means fewer handoff mistakes, faster iteration, and designs that actually get built right.
Before UX, I led dental office operations across two locations, trained IU Dental Medicine interns, and managed patient systems. High-stakes environments forge a different kind of attention to detail — one that maps directly to QA and usability work.
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Java, Python, Node.js, PHP — I understand the technical constraints that shape design decisions. I design what can actually be built, and I can build what I design.
Skills
A cross-section of what I bring to every project — from research strategy to final, shipped interface.
Selected Work
Academic, freelance, and personal work — all grounded in real research.
Information Architecture · Academic
Structural deep-dive into Apple Maps' navigation hierarchy — mapping content relationships, identifying friction, and proposing IA improvements grounded in course frameworks.
Usability Testing · Academic
Designed task scenarios and think-aloud sessions to expose real friction in YouTube's interface — then translated findings into actionable design recommendations.
Freelance · Flycatcher Consulting
Responsive interface design, wireframes, and design systems for small business and non-profit clients — with user feedback loops baked in from day one.
Assistive Technology · Academic
Survey of 2025–2026 assistive technology offerings evaluated through an HCI lens — real-world usability, inclusion gaps, and product analysis.
Frontend Dev · Personal
Audited the original site for accessibility, SEO, and structural issues — then rebuilt from scratch with intentional architecture, responsive design, and clean semantic code.
